What We Do
We have three main active areas of focus: Community Events, Positive Life skills Education and Youth.
Community Events
We are well known for the highly successful annual ‘Glow Party’ which is a safe child-friendly event for the Millwater / Silverdale community.
The event held on 31 October of each year, caters for over 750 children (plus parents and caregivers) and is a positive alternative to Halloween. The rather excited kids enjoy a glow disco, bouncy castles, games, prizes and more!
All funds raised on the night are donated in full to another great local charity - Youth in Transition, who are committed to making a positive difference to the mental health of young people in the community.
We thank the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board for annually financially supporting this fun event.

POSITIVE LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION
We seek to provide the community with a variety of positive and interactive educational workshops that will assist people in their various inter-personal relationships.
The workshops are facilitator led and to date have covered topics such as better communication skills, individual self-worth, insightful tips for marriage and parenting.
Over and above that, our Community Parent Coach has assisted numerous people on a one-on-one basis as it relates to their own individual circumstances.
We can all learn something new and if that information helps remedy (or prevent) some of the challenges of life, then we have done our part.

Youth
We are passionate about helping young people navigate the challenges of life.
As part of this desire to support youth in our community, we have entered a three-way partnership with 24-7 Youthwork Aotearoa and Kingsway Senior College in Redbeach, Auckland.
This initiative sees us provide part-time youth workers to assist the college with the mentoring and care of students. Our youth workers build rapport with students through lunch clubs, teacher support on sports days, excursions, and camps along with other interactive points of contact.
The primary focus is years 8, 9 & 10.
The desired outcomes are:
- Supporting students
- Building positive relationships
- Cultivating school spirit
- Leadership development
- Integrating students with out of school activities
